Twenty-nine pearls in your kiss, a singing smile
Coffee smell, and lilac skin, your flame in me
I'm only here for this moment-Jeff Buckley, “Everybody Here Wants You”
Violet skies and linen sheets
I see my future in your honey-brown eyes
I rock to Jeff Buckey’s soft beats
His voice caresses my ears as you caress my face
“Everybody here wants you,” he sings sweetly
And while playing with your curls,
I can’t help but believe him.
The sun seems to follow your enchanting smile
as you sprawl out in front of me carelessly.
With you, I feel euphoric.
My cherry wine, I’m drunk on your sweetness,
and high off the white of your smile.
Unsatiable, I touch my fingertips to your lips
You taste like strawberry chapstick,
and smell like lavender and heartache.
The soft wind picks up through my window,
swirling your locks into a halo.
And I hope only to die drowning in the waves of your hair.
i wanted to stamp the feeling of our embrace in my mind with a red-hot iron
etch curls falling over my shoulder in the forefront of my psyche
paint the feeling of gentle arms around mine in watercolor.
